Hakuba Goryu Stay Info DeskHakuba Goryu Stay Information Desk is located in JR Kamishiro station and open from 7:30 to 18:00.
Hotel reservations can be made at this desk on the day of your arrival. Our staffs are pleased to provide any assistance to meet your request. Since no rooms may be available for the following periods; every Sat. in Feb., between Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 and other peak seasons, advanced booking is strongly recommended during these period by inquiring to any accommodations on this HP.

Payment
While cash payment is common at all hotels and restaurants, credit cards may not be accepted in many hotelsandrestaurants still here. Exchanging cash to JPY in advance is highly recommended. Deposit by bank transfers might be required for reservationsinsome hotels.

Room and bath
Type of rooms can be chosen.

Wa-shitsu“Wa-shitsu”
This type of rooms is with straw mat of “Tatami” flooring. You are supposed totake off your shoes and to sit downdirectly on the “Tatami.” Beds are not furnished normally and “Futon” of mattress and quilt are prepared instead to lay out a futon by yourself. Most of this type of rooms is not equipped with a bathroom and commonbathrooms can be shared with other guests.


Yoh-shitsu“Yoh-shitsu”
Beds are furnished in this type of rooms. Slippers could be providedtochange from your shoesin a roominsomepension or small hotels. In case no privatebathroom is equipped, commonbathrooms can be shared with other guests.


Bath“Common bathroom”
Common bathrooms are separated into two areas for men and women. All the guests are welcome to use a common bath, which is larger than private bathrooms. You can share to take a bath with other guests.
You are not supposed to wash your body inside of bathtub and to wear a swimming suit.


Meal
Dinner and breakfast are supposed to be booked at the same time ofroomreservation. Meals may not be prepared by immediate request on the day. Booking of breakfast is recommended and also booking of dinner is highlyrecommended for those who have no carduring trips because mostrestaurants arenot accessible on foot from your accommodation. You can inform your preference or request some special menu for you religious reason in advance. Dinners are served between 18:00 and 20:00 generally.


Wa-shoku“Wa-shoku”
Japanese-style meals of “Wa-shoku” are served in Japanese style hotels of“Minshuku,” tourist homes. Dishes includea staple food of rice with variety menus of broiled fish, Tempura, Sashimi of sliced raw fish and some more.Don’tforgettotry “Soba,” buckwheat-noodles,the most popular noodles in Japan.


Yoh-shoku“Yoh-shoku”
European-style meals of “Yoh-shoku” are served in hotels and pension, andrice is also served for dinners in mosthotels. Yon can ask for another bowl of riceby ordering “Rice Okawari,” and normally a second helping is free. For breakfast, bread is served in mosthotels.


Check-in/out
Check-in at 15:00 and out at 10:00 are general in most accommodations. Expected arrival time must be provided at the time of reservation. In case your arrival could be delayed, it is recommended to give previous notice to a hotel by phone. Yon can leave your baggage at front desk and change into a skiwear before check-in at a hotel on arrival in the morning in Hakuba village and after check-out also. Please be reminded that some hotels might charge an extra fee for this service.

Hotel-styleHotel-style
There are 8 of hotel-style accommodations here. Those are rather small compared to world-famous hotel chains and the capacity for each hotel is around 100. Amenities are equipped in each room including Japanese-style pajamas of “Yukata” and towels.3 hotels have a common bath of hot spring.

Pension-stylePension-style
There are 54 of pension-style accommodations here which are generallymanaged by families. The capacity is around 20 to 80 for each. European-style meals are normally served in these pensions. Amenities are not equipped in each room.

Tourist home style “Minshuku”Tourist home style “Minshuku”
There are 58 of tourist home style accommodations herewhicharegenerallymanaged by families. Japanese-stylehomemade meals are servedwithingredientsfrom their gardens. Most rooms are not equipped with a private bathroom and amenities. 3 accommodations have a common bath of hot spring.

Condominium-styleCondominium-style
There are 14 of condominium-style accommodations here. Each condominiumis separated with a bedroom, a livingroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and toilet. You can cook dinner and breakfast by yourself, or you can enjoy meals at restaurants in someaccommodations. This type of accommodations has no common bath. You can choose from a variety of classes of condominiums from deluxe to economy and need to prepare someamenities and foods by yourself according to the type of room you choose. A supermarket is about 5 min. drive from each accommodation.  You can ask to stop by on the way to your accommodation on arrival.
